Overview

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 notification has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The online application process for CTET 2026 began on 27 November 2025 and will remain open until 18 December 2025. Age Limit

There is no upper or lower age limit for CTET 2026. Candidates just need to meet the educational eligibility criteria as prescribed by CBSE/NCTE.


Total Posts / Seats

CTET is an eligibility test, not a direct recruitment exam. Therefore, total posts/vacancies are not applicable here. CTET score is used for eligibility in teaching jobs and recruitment processes in central/affiliated schools.


Eligibility Criteria

For Paper-I (Teaching Classes 1–5)

  2. Click “Apply Online”: Start new registration.
  3. Enter Details: Complete personal, educational, and contact info.
  4. Upload Documents: Photo and signature as per specifications.
  5. Pay Fee Online: Before 18 December 2025.
  6. Submit & Print: Download confirmation page for records.
  7. Download Admit Card: Available before exam on official site.
  8. Appear for Exam: On 08 February 2026.

Exam Structure (Overview)

CTET consists of two papers:
Paper-I: For Primary Stage (Classes 1–5)
Paper-II: For Junior Stage (Classes 6–8)
Each paper typically has 150 MCQs for 150 marks with no negative marking.
