Overview

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the online application process for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2026, a national-level entrance test for admission into various UG, PG, lateral entry (NLEA), Artisans category and Ph.D. programmes offered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for the 2026-27 academic session. NIFTEE is an entrance exam, not a job posting — therefore there are no posts or direct vacancies. The exam determines eligibility and rank for admission into design, fashion technology, management and doctoral programmes at NIFT campuses across India.

Admission & Exam Process

  1. Visit the Official Portal: Go to https://exams.nta.nic.in/niftee/.
  2. Register / Login: Use a valid email and mobile number.
  3. Fill Application Form: Enter personal, academic and contact details.
  4. Upload Documents: Photograph, signature and other required files.
  5. Pay Application Fee: Online payment before deadline.
  6. Submit & Print: Save the confirmation page for future use.
  7. Correction Window: Edit details if needed during 12–14 January 2026.
  8. Admit Card: Download when released.
  9. Appear for Exam: On 08 February 2026 as scheduled.

Exam Pattern (General)

The NIFTEE exam consists of programme-specific components:
General Ability Test (GAT) – Common for most programmes.
Creative Ability Test (CAT) – For programmes like B.Des & M.Des.
Situation Test (for B.Des) – Post GAT/CAT shortlist exercise.
