Central Board of Secondary Education CTET February 2026

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test February 2026 notification has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education. Candidates who want to become teachers for Class I–VIII in government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, and other central schools must qualify the CTET exam.

Educational Qualification

Paper I (Class I to V Teacher)

Candidates must have:

  • Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and
  • D.El.Ed / BTC / B.El.Ed / B.Ed qualification.

Paper II (Class VI to VIII Teacher)

Candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and
  • B.Ed / D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed

Qualification rules follow guidelines of National Council for Teacher Education.


Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: No Upper Age Limit
